F0150 Meet the legal definition of a skilled nursing facility or nursing facility. F0151 Honor a residents' rights as a residents of the nursing home, free of coercion and reprisal, and as citizens or residents of the United States. F0152 Give the resident's representative the ability to exercise the resident's rights. F0153 Let each resident or the resident's legal representative access or purchase copies of all the resident's records. F0154 Ensure that residents are fully informed and understand their health status, care and treatments. F0155 Let residents refuse treatment, refuse to take part in an experiment, or formulate advance directives. F0156 Give residents a notice of rights, rules, services and charges. F0157 Immediately tell the resident, the resident's doctor, and a family member of situations (injury/decline/room, etc.) that affect the resident. F0158 Let residents choose whether to manage their own money or deposit it with the nursing home. F0586 Not prohibit or in any way discourage a resident from communicating with federal, state, or local officials.
