Ensure that residents with limited range of motion receive appropriate treatment and services to increase range of motion or prevent further decrease in range of motion.

Give proper treatment to residents with feeding tubes to prevent problems (such as aspiration pneumonia, diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, metabolic abnormalities, nasal-pharyngeal ulcers) and help restore eating skills, if possible.

Have enough nurses to care for every resident in a way that maximizes the resident's well being.

Post nurse staffing information/data on a daily basis.

Make sure menus meet the resident's nutritional needs and that there is a prepared menu by which nutritious meals have been planned for the resident and followed.

Prepare food that is nutritional, appetizing, tasty, attractive, well-cooked, and at the right temperature.

Store, cook, and serve food in a safe and clean way.

Maintain drug records and properly mark/label drugs and other similar products according to accepted professional standards.

Give or get quality laboratory services/tests in a timely manner to meet the needs of residents.

Provide or obtain laboratory services only when ordered by the attending physician.

Set up an ongoing quality assessment and assurance group to review quality deficiencies quarterly, and develop corrective plans of action.
