Inspection Findings
Review of the facility policy titled, Abuse Prevention, dated September 2021, stated the residents have the right to be free from abuse, neglect, misappropriation of resident property, and exploitation.
This included but was not limited to freedom from corporal punishment, involuntary seclusion, verbal, mental, sexual, or physical abuse, and physical or chemical restraint not required to treat the resident's symptoms.
The policy stated as part of the abuse prevention, the administration would protect residents from abuse by anyone including but not necessarily limited to facility staff, other residents, consultants, volunteers, staff from agencies, family members, legal representatives, friends, visitors, or any other individual.
This deficiency represents non-compliance investigated under Complaint Number 2597903.
