explain why this professional practice was not followed for the residents listed as above.On 11/12/2025 at 08:55 a.m. during an interview with Director of Nursing (DON) B explained the professional practice of removing controlled medication from the controlled medication drawer. DON B explained that the residents' orders are reviewed in the resident computerized medical record, which was called Point Click Care (PCC).

DON B explained that the controlled medications are then removed and documented on the Controlled Substance Record as being removed and a final count is documented. DON B explained that the mediations are then taken to the resident for administration and then recorded as given in the PCC system.

DON B could not explain why this professional practice was not followed for the residents listed as above.
